The Watch Angels store

It was in the works since a couple of months and now it’s finally open.

As you know, our system has two levels.

1.The angel round

The Angel round is for those who like to commit on the basis of the reputation/motivations of the creator, a design intention and a product concept. They also want to be involved in the process of creating and producting the watch.

Angels finance the production for the benefit of the entire community and the reward for this is the cost price and limited edition, specially engraved, Angel edition watches.

Angels choose for the highest risk, highest engagement and a highest value profile (cost price, limited edition markings, no returns, 6 months production lead time and the risk of normal production delays).

2. The store

The store is for watch enthusiasts who prefer a more traditional way of buying and a lower risk profile. Their reward is the wholesale price (still a 50% advantage on buying in retail!) and no risk.They support the crowd manufacturing system by assuring the creator and the manufacturer a fair profit. This fair profit is what allows the system to continue supporting independent watches and unique watch concepts.

Enthusiast choose for the lowest risk, lowest engagement and still a very significant value for money (wholesale price, no limited edition, 14 days return, immediate or shorter delivery times).

Both ways of purchasing are complementary and both extremely important for supporting independent watches.

What do you find in the store?

After an Angel round closes, the project goes into the store at the wholesale price. There it can be reserved (during the production period) or purchased from stock (once it is and if it is, available from stock after production and delivery to all Angels and Enthusiasts reservations).

Production batches are small and therefore reserving a production slot makes sense for those who want to avoid the possibility that the watch sells out before it becomes available from stock or only months later, after an eventual second production run.
