A Scary Incident in the Apartment Above Me

Let me tell you about a very dubious thing that happened a few weeks ago. I wanted to post about her since then, but I still haven’t found my peace.

I was at home on a Friday evening with a friend, we drank something and watched TV. At one point, a woman’s voice starts to be heard from the block shouting: “help, help, help, help”. The first time I couldn’t hear very well because of the TV, but after 2 minutes the shouting became more and more intense and louder, and we wondered what was being heard. I went to the bathroom because the voice was louder from there and I stuck my head out the bathroom window. He could be heard very clearly, as if he was on the same side of the block. In front of my block there were some neighbors who came out and had also heard the cries. When they saw me with my head sticking out of the window, the neighbors told me that at the window of the apartment above me they could see a hand knocking on the window and from there they could hear the shout. I also shouted, trying to have a dialogue with the voice that was calling for help: “say! what’s happening?”. I received an answer: “help! he’s killing me! he’s drowning me! a thief entered my house!”. He shouted for help a few more times, after which he stopped.

I panicked and thought he had died, but mostly because I knew that no one had lived above me for about 5 months. I ran up the stairs (alone, my friend stayed in the house, although I was a little afraid that I would come face to face with the “hut”) and started knocking on the door of the apartment above. The neighbors who were in front of the block and the head of the stairs also came immediately.

We knocked for about 10 minutes without anyone opening the door.

No voice could be heard anymore, but a current of air could be felt passing under the door, as if the windows were open in the apartment. Someone checked from outside and there was no light on in that apartment. I decided to call 112 and I want to confess that in a moment of such intensity you can no longer talk about emotion and it is very difficult to communicate with anyone.
