The Existence Construct

Proof of being using grade school maths

If existence was a place, I imagine it would be a valley.

Mountains can be arrived at, hills for going over, rivers are crossed through and it is wise to go around a precipice. Valleys, on the other hand, are usually come into.

They are, at least in my mind, sheltered places, lined with tall trees that let through the soft and nebulous light seen in dreams or a sunny day in Killarney, the kind that would tempt you to reach out and touch it.

A pleasant place to begin.

In fact, the most pleasant way to begin any journey is where others have begun theirs. But do so at your peril — pleasant isn’t a place often left willingly, and before long, we end in the same, snug spot we began, as if we had never moved at all.

Existence is infinite. And so it goes with numbers.

The pair are peas in a pod, that is, if the peas represent every single object in existence and there are an infinite number of said peas. Our humble slice of existence, our universe, is the set of numbers in brackets resembling the devil’s moustache tilted on its…
