How dogs can connect to you emotionally

Animals are one of the world’s best creatures in my opinion. If you’re feeling sad, pets will always be by your side. Pets and humans have influenced each other in major ways. It’s even said that “ Dogs and humans are so tied to each other that we share some of the same genetic characteristics, as though we’ve evolved in tandem” (Healthline.com). Isn’t that crazy?? We have developed similar genetic markers for diet, disease, and neural processing with dogs! For years, scientists have been learning that dogs can actually recognize emotions in humans. “The study shows that dogs can integrate two different sources of sensory information into a perception of emotion in both humans and dogs” (Reuters.com).

I believe that dogs are a man's best friend and they can help us through everything. When you have a dog and you’re having a bad day, dogs somehow seem to know that they need to comfort us! They can feel the sadness or stress we have and make it better! Personally, I love dogs. I have had a dog all my life. As a kid, I was VERY emotional. I would cry almost basically everything. But my dog, Chase, was always there for me just to lay down beside me or lay his head against me. Dogs can make you feel emotionally and physically better!

This is one of the many reasons that I believe that dogs are the best pets! They truly can be your best friend. They will make you feel better about things and make your day overall so much better!
